Intro & FAQ

Hi everyone!  I'm Anne and I'm the writer of this travelogue / adventure blog for my Skyrim character, Patrycia Willowbranch. 


I've been playing Skyrim for a while now and have seen a few other RP adventure blogs out there and thought "What the heck?  I'll try too!"  It helps that I love to write and that I do get a bit....invested into my characters when I play Skyrim.  Now, I just have to figure out how to relay that intelligently to you guys via text and picture.

So, let me review a few things before we get started:

Boring Details:

Game Tweaks I did:
  • I slowed down the passage of time using "set time scale to 15" so time passes at a more realistic rate
Mods I'm Using:
  • All the unofficial patches
  • SKSE - to be able to run some scripts
  • SkyUI - to fix my UI and make it easier to use
  • alternate start - live another life - so I can start where I wanted to (Solitude)
  • Point the Way - provides street signs to cities to help with navigation
  • Ring of Himalayan Hauling - my one "cheat" so she can carry more stuff.  I call it my "bag of holding".
  • Better quest objectives - just to make things easier on me
  • Lanterns of Skyrim - to provide more lights on the roads
  • lt_camping - so she can "camp" on the road if she gets stuck out there overnight
  • BlockSteal - so I don't accidentally click on something in a store when I really meant to click on the store owner.

Author's Last Notes:

I will warn you right now, my play time is very sporadic...and even then, writing and adding screenshots and such takes a lot of time, so this blog may go weeks without being updated.  Sorry, but you know how life goes sometimes....

My name is Anne Keller and I'm a fiction and freelance writer based out of sunny Southern California.  I live with my two kids, elderly mother, older sister, two dogs, and two cats in a three bedroom, 2.5 bath zoo.  Actually, it's a ranch style house but with all of the chaos of a multi-generational home, it's pretty much a zoo around here all the time . 

When I’m not writing, I’m hopping down internet rabbit holes in search of elusive information, reading one of the many books waiting for me on my Kindle, or chasing my kids around.
